Join us for a country walk and pub lunch on 27th July

Walk and Pub Lunch

On Sunday 27th July 2008, Heads2gether, the head and neck cancer support group invite you to join us on a country walk followed by a pub lunch at The Boat Inn, Thrupp just north of Kidlington.

The walk will commence at 11am from the pub car park, details and maps will be provided on the day. Even if you feel you can’t manage the walk, you are welcome to join us for the pub lunch afterwards. If you would like to attend please contact the organisers using the contact page.

Thrupp is little more that a row of pretty cottages on the Oxford Canal, one of the earliest of our inland waterways. The Boat is a 17th century Inn with exposed beams and open fireplaces.  The pub predates the building of the canal from 1770-1790 and has featured in at least one episode of Morse entitled `The Riddle of the Third Mile’.
